A Revolution

Your ragged blue cheeks,
you filthy lowlife scum,
damnation your fate,
they pronounce you deaf and dumb.

Your bloodshot eyes,
you dream of the sacred,
they trample you underneath,
your love is their hatred.

Rise from your ashes,
rise to flesh and blood,
awaken your heart and soul,
rise from bloody mud.
The time has come,
to fly the flag of the COMMONS,
to rise against the oppressor,
wakeup your fate now summons.

Blood,
sweat,
tears,
you gave,
its time,
to have it all back,
yes there is a crack,
sharpen the saw,
its time to draw,
your map your land,
use your own bloody hand,
lowlife you were,
filthy yes SIR!
the oppressor shall bow,
to its own slave right now,

and your ragged blue cheeks,
and the clothes you wore,
are no more torn,
ragged no more!

Lowlife, thats sarcasm, secondly thats what the oppressors regard their subjects as, no matter how open minded they consider them to be, and thanx, i know sometimes i surprise myself with good stuff too lol, mashaALLAH (there goes my modesty), but this one, i can say you inspired me to write, secondly, you switch the tv on, there's so much disgusting stuff goin on, you cant help but speak up...such dark times

seriously such dark times...like there is no end to it
and yes i was almost rapping this poem too
it puts you in an aggressive mode
where you really want to be a part of a revolution
because you know these days we all are getting distracted
we have learned to ignore ...or we dont realise our roles anymore

we have def learned to ignore!

@misbah
you're very right in saying we've learnt to ignore stuff around us and our responsibilities. Thats why most of us have even stopped caring. And yes thats all probably because we're a very distracted generation.
We need to get our generation back on track in whatever way possible

@rome
we can do a lot. But the first thing we need to do is to start realising our importance in this instance of space and time. Only then can we begin doing anything. We need to open our eyes and look around. Then, we can start with very small stuff which the governments wont care about. Who cares about people below poverty line? About education? Health? Heck noone even gives a hoot about killing their own people how can we expect them to be good to us...i believe we need a revolution, but for that we've to prepare ourselves, we need to be able to be a little self supportive self sufficient, we need leaders from amongst us guided by the conscience, we need to realise that every revolution demands sacrifice, only then can we muslims achieve the status we deserve. Its a pity our own governments fight us before we even think about fighting the rest of the world that has united against us. Such are the dark times
